Basic
This class pays special
attention to the
Anusara Universal Principles of
Alignment and how we experience them in our bodies and in basic yoga
poses. It is appropriate for
those new to yoga and for those wishing to refine and review the building
blocks of an Anusara
yoga practice.
Restorative
This nourishing and fortifying class
utilizes supported restorative postures held for long
intervals to nourish the body, calm the mind and rejuvenate the spirit.
Students will be guided through the practice of pranayama (breathing)
and dharana (meditation) to cultivate insight, clarity and deep peace.
This class is open to all who want to experience a healing and
rejuvenating practice and is especially helpful for those suffering
from chronic pain, fatigue or stress.
Level
1
For brand-new beginners as well as students who have been practicing
for some time. These classes offer fundamental training in the postures
as well as relaxation, breathing and meditation techniques.

2
For our students familiar with the basic principles of alignment who wish
to deepen and advance their asana practice.

For students of all levels.
These multi-level classes allow you to work at your own frontier. As in
all WYC classes, students receive individualized attention.
Fertility/Women
Connect with a community of peers and
prepare your body, mind and spirit for pregnancy. Taught at
the WYC since 2005 and featured in the New York Times and CBS News,
Tracy's work addresses all women's issues and offers support
to women seeking conception. This gentle
class incorporates the Anusara Universal Principles of
Alignment that optimize life-energy through the whole body,
especially the organs related to fertility. Poses and
breathwork will help strengthen, align stretch, and relax,
keeping you positive and supported throughout the process.
Suitable for beginners to yoga and those in medicated cycles
and for all women looking to connect to the cycles of the
female body.Gentle/Restorative
Yoga
These are gentle hatha yoga classes where we use the Anusara principles
to align and make space in the body, and the breath, to still the mind.
Restorative focuses as much on the inner practices of Yoga - pranayama
(breathing), pratyahara (taking the attention inward) and
meditation - as on the physical practice. This is an excellent class
for those with therapeutic issues. It is also an excellent class for
both beginners and advanced Yogis who wish to relax and restore their
physical bodies while calming the mind.

Therapeutics
The power of Yoga and its liberating joy is for everyone including
those working with limitations. Using the Anusara principles of
alignment, this class helps bring awareness into the body to promote
maximum healing. This class is slow-paced and is appropriate for
students who are recovering from injuries, illness or surgery. It
allows ample time to address questions and concerns. Students who
currently practice yoga and experience physical discomfort during
certain asanas can also benefit. This class clarifies how you can
modify your asana practice in class and at home.

This class is open
to the public as a 'pay as you wish' class and features our
talented new teachers who have successfully completed our 2 year WYC
Anusara Yoga teaching program. All are welcome!
Evening Asana
Evening is an optimal time of the day to loosen accumulated
tensions and center our attention back into our own being- to
bring ourselves into contentment. The Evening Asana classes
will include some active poses to warm the body, followed by
grounding, stabilizing poses that stretch and open the body
and free the breath. The class ends with cooling poses to calm
and clear the mind and enter a meditatve state. These class
aims will bring ease at the end of the day and a more
conscious alignment with your essential self. All levels are
welcome to this delightful evening practice.
Monday Meditation
This 75 minute class will uplift the inner atmosphere of
the mind, clarify how to let go into higher states of awareness and reveal the joy of turning inside.
Meditation class is for students of all levels and will
include instruction, group meditation, question and answer,
and how to apply the powerful teachings of our yoga
sages to daily life.of the wisdom of Yoga to our daily lives.
